Library reorganization — September 12, 2026

Type: organization and maintenance, not a research check.

Implemented the approved six-group structure for all 25 active topics. Existing topic filenames and IDs remain unchanged; dated baseline and earlier log files remain at their original paths.

  • README.md is the short reading home with recent-development links, scheduled-event previews and group navigation.
  • WATCHLIST.md is the grouped scope index; catalog.json records the stable group, topic and tag mapping.
  • LANDSCAPE.md preserves every earlier cover-page clinical summary and expected-update entry, grouped for browsing.
  • MILESTONES.md orders 39 dated/windowed milestones, with additional undated tracks and explicitly unconfirmed hair-program timing.
  • LATEST.md highlights previously recorded baseline events and distinguishes source/event dates from discovery and maintenance dates.
  • BROWSE.md provides screening, drug, device/procedure, regeneration and weight-loss-related views.
  • HOW_THIS_WORKS.md contains the preserved scope, rumor policy, evidence standards, operating instructions and source-maintenance rules.
  • Topic pages follow Current state, Questions to follow, Programs and next milestones, actual Rumors when present, and Dated history. Prior heading anchors are retained; old README anchors point to the moved reference pages.
  • updates/README.md provides an archive index; the topic template separates development stage, evidence/limitations, U.S. status and next-milestone fields.

No medical claims were freshly verified for this layout change. No topic's research timestamp, previously recorded event, rumor status history or baseline-completion flag was advanced. Clinical material is carried forward with its original dates and limitations. The initial brief remains a dated snapshot.

Verification and scheduled-task update results are recorded below after completion.

Completed verification

Verified all 25 topic files against the pre-reorganization copies: every original non-heading line and heading text is retained. All 25 IDs appear exactly once across the six groups; the landscape and watchlist retain every prior summary, timing entry and scope. Internal Markdown file and anchor checks found zero broken targets. The initial brief and all earlier update logs are byte-identical to the originals. Topic state and all 80 prior event records, including rumor status histories, are unchanged.

The existing heartbeat was updated through the scheduled-task tool, then read back from its saved configuration. The prompt matches the prepared new-layout maintenance instructions. Active status, Tuesday/Friday 9 a.m. Eastern schedule, destination task and creation record are preserved; the meaningful-change notification paragraph is unchanged.
