The Atlas
Metabolic health
GLP-1s & metabolic therapies
New oral/injectable amylin and GLP-1/GIP protocols broaden the pipeline; olatorepatide Phase 3 is registered, ASC36 is recruiting and ASC39 has an IND submission. BARI-STEP adds selected postsurgical weight evidence. EloraTZP doses remain unpublic and recruitment sources disagree. The dedicated retatrutide sleep-apnea paper is recorded under obstructive sleep apnea.
Cardiovascular prevention
EDIT-401 adds a first-human LDLR-upregulation editing program beyond PCSK9 approaches. It remains not yet recruiting, with no human LDL, safety or cardiovascular-outcome results. Prior broad-prevention outcome evidence remains separate.
Kidney health
Ultomiris receives accelerated U.S. IgA nephropathy proteinuria approval, with confirmatory kidney-function benefit pending. Recovered pegcetacoplan 76-week abstracts add uncontrolled extension data and baseline-scarring differences; PRESERVE registers post-transplant recurrence prevention without results.
Liver health
Hibsago’s October 20 U.S. approval offers a finite-course option for selected noncirrhotic adults with suppressed hepatitis B; boxed hepatic-flare and platelet warnings and a restricted 19% functional-control endpoint matter. AAT prime editing is newly registered without results. GSK4532990 target suppression is not fibrosis reversal. Wegovy’s September CHMP procedural outcome remains unresolved.
Longevity & healthspan
A newly disclosed 31-person ELITE combination pilot measures eight-week function and digital signals, with no posted results or lifespan claim. Larger healthspan evidence remains unsettled; the alleged PEARL 24-month follow-up remains unconfirmed.
Screening & cancer
Cancer treatment & vaccines
New FDA actions include talazoparib plus enzalutamide in molecularly selected metastatic prostate cancer and traditional pembrolizumab TMB-high approval narrowed to ≥13. New randomized myeloma consolidation and therapeutic IDH1-vaccine protocols were selected. The INTerpath presentation occurred; the October 22 efficacy finding is already saved.
Cancer blood tests & screening
Newly appraised Galleri conference materials describe workup burden, anxiety and standard-screening behavior; none establish mortality benefit or FDA approval. Several new organ-specific screening protocols were retrieved, but only the Gixam repeatability study was fully selected as a new program.
Genetic screening & risk
New primary ASHG reports add actionable newborn cardiac findings and diagnostic yield in symptomatic infant epilepsy. A registered depression/suicide-prevention trial includes pharmacogenomics and drug monitoring. These findings do not confirm chronic-disease PRS or embryo-selection benefit.
Whole-body MRI
A new review of heterogeneous screening cohorts estimates pathology-confirmed cancer yield but cannot establish improved patient outcomes. Downstream workups, false positives, overdiagnosis and the benefit of repeated screening remain unresolved.
Brain & mental health
Mental-health treatments
Newly registered human programs include sham-controlled digital CBT for panic disorder and a small nonablative ultrasound OCD trial; the PGx clinical-outcome trial is logged under genetics with cross-linking. No new broadly applicable SSRI efficacy or U.S. safety-label change was established in this focused check.
Psilocybin & related therapies
APPROACH now reports actual study completion October 23 without results. VA PACT adds a formal depression/expectancy protocol with conflicting enrollment fields; a Belgian PEX010 compassionate-use proposal remains conditional. These developments are not new efficacy proof or general U.S. availability.
Alzheimer’s
Acumen narrows the sabirnetug ALTITUDE-AD readout to November 2026 without releasing results. Saved API2, tau-platform, TREMHANCE and SAGITTARIUS programs remain development-stage signals; fresh registry modification dates alone do not establish new recruitment or efficacy events.
Hearing & vision
BRUNELLO adds year-one vision noninferiority with more proliferative-retinopathy events and adverse-event discontinuations. MCO-010 reports four-year inherited-RP gains, with follow-up denominators and intervals missing; this does not establish acquired-AMD benefit.
Sleep
Insomnia
Pediatric daridorexant original abstract reports a 29.6-minute first-dose PSG total-sleep-time difference at 50 mg, from 14-day exposure. Durable remission, developmental benefit, rare harms and REM/deep-sleep architecture remain unestablished; pediatric Phase 3 is a H2 2027 forecast.
Obstructive sleep apnea
Dedicated retatrutide OSA paper quantifies 80-week AHI reductions in people with and without T2D; full harms tables remain inaccessible. New HNS complete-concentric-collapse and future cMAP PAP-software protocols have no results. AD109 CHEST original tables remain a gap.
Narcolepsy & excessive sleepiness
Takeda announces an October 15 oveporexton launch in Japan and China for specified narcolepsy type 1 populations. U.S. marketing remains conditional on scheduling/labeling steps; a November forecast is not verified availability. Other narcolepsy and hypersomnolence programs remain diagnosis-specific.
Circadian rhythm disorders
Recovered September 29 sponsor data report a 37.1-minute earlier sleep onset versus placebo with tasimelteon in delayed-phase disorder. The small 28-day analysis lacks confidence intervals and detailed harms; registry results and any new indication remain pending.
Restless legs syndrome
Newly recovered IV-iron and extended-duration TOMAC programs target refractory RLS and awakenings. An uncontrolled venous-ablation association does not establish a general RLS cure or causal benefit.
Function & immunity
Bones, joints & cartilage
New MITO registry data are too small and lack between-group tests; a three-year observational cohort suggests functional associations without proving fewer falls or fractures. Earlier cartilage and fracture evidence remains separate.
Muscle preservation
A small randomized osteoporosis-drug study posts lean tissue and function without comparative tests; a separate observational cohort favors denosumab but cannot establish causality. A new T1D semaglutide protocol measures lean tissue and strength separately.
Non-opioid pain
SL1002 completes pivotal knee-OA pain enrollment, with Q2 2027 results forecast. Suzetrigine adds a randomized knee-replacement opioid-sparing trial and closes its uncontrolled diabetic-neuropathy extension enrollment; chronic-pain approval and comparative benefit remain unproven.
Autoimmune therapies
The new zola-cel MS report includes a fatal septic pneumonia after persistent late motor symptoms and additional immunosuppression. Small uncontrolled efficacy subsets, unresolved enrollment pause, and distinct miv-cel SPS findings remain separate.
Allergy & airway disease
PROSPERO missed its primary severe-exacerbation comparison; secondary results remain nominal. New AAT prime-editing and early-childhood OIT registrations have no results or confirmed actual first dosing.
Infections, vaccines & antibiotics
FDA approved Hibsago October 20 for selected noncirrhotic adults with suppressed hepatitis B, with a 19% functional-control endpoint and boxed liver/platelet warnings. New infection-related protocols and Shigella immune-response results remain distinct from established clinical prevention.
Aesthetics & Dental
Skin aging & laxity
Dynamic wrinkle reduction, skin laxity, hydration/biomarkers and volume restoration remain separate. A new full trenibotE publication adds detail to an old Phase 3 trial; the U.S. manufacturing CRL remains, with no newly verified decision date. Previously recorded NOA HYDRATION and MD60002 registrations are not re-alerted.
Acne & rosacea
A sham-controlled adjunctive acupressure trial reports better short-term rosacea clearance, with replication and full harms still needed. Neurogenic-rosacea FMT remains protocol-only; denifanstat, B244 and newly registered acne comparisons retain separate development and evidence limits.
Pigmentation & skin tone
EB06 anti-CXCL10 adds an 80-person Phase 2 non-segmental vitiligo program with clinical facial and patient-noticed outcomes. It has no results yet. Separate vitiligo repigmentation from melasma/PIH and cosmetic marker changes; no efficacy or safety superiority to current JAKs established.
Scars & stretch marks
SCARFREE-001 has changed from not yet recruiting to recruiting, but actual first dosing is unknown. ETD-001 adds a registered Phase 2 scar program with undisclosed ingredient. A 120-person laser/PRP study reports better six-month clinical scar scores and more pain, with important registration/masking limits. SNT-9465 October 1 expansion and Q1 2027 forecast remain already-recorded.
Hair loss & graying
Keep AGA, alopecia areata and biological pigment restoration distinct. VDPHL01 Study 304 October 19 results and PP405 AWAKEN October 14 first dosing are already recorded, not new alerts. VDPHL01 is a minoxidil reformulation; its placebo-controlled evidence does not show superiority or better safety versus ordinary oral/topical minoxidil. New laser/serum pilot evidence is preliminary; an older SM04554 trial is added only as historical context.
Facial volume & contour
New Sculptra observational registration targets delayed adverse events and two-year post-treatment appearance in a Chinese cohort. It does not change existing U.S. indications or establish comparative safety. Already recorded Belotero Volume/Intense approvals and launch forecasts are not new alerts; actual broad launches remain unverified.
Fat removal & cellulite
CBL-514 Phase 3 SUPREME-01 remains recruiting; the first posted Stage 1 cellulite results are a separate small uncontrolled 2023 study. CBL-0206 Stage 1/2 abdominal programs remain separately tracked. RZL-012 China Phase 3 and year-end NDA forecast are already recorded; no new U.S. approval or tesamorelin new-indication result verified. Exclude the registry entry explicitly labeled Mock Study NCT07481734.
Dental alignment & regeneration
New 3D-BOT vs conventional fixed braces registration explicitly includes root/bone/gum and early alignment outcomes. Prior heat-activated wire randomized results are already recorded. Toregem TRG035 formal Phase IIa congenital-agenesis milestone remains CTN review completion; no new verified human tooth-regrowth outcome, first-dose event or general acquired-tooth replacement approval.
