# September 12, 2026 — Expanded watchlist baseline

The research library added eight recommended categories, both screening expansions and a separate aesthetic hair-loss category. The watchlist now has nineteen active topics. The Tuesday/Friday 9 a.m. America/New_York schedule and meaningful-change notification policy remain the requested cadence.

## Coverage of this update

- **Joint preservation and cartilage repair:** selective baseline completed; current position, human evidence, regulatory status, limitations and expected updates are in [the topic notes](../topics/11_joint_preservation.md).
- **Sleep apnea and sleep/wake therapies:** selective baseline completed; current position, human evidence, regulatory status, limitations and expected updates are in [the topic notes](../topics/12_sleep.md).
- **Liver disease, fibrosis and noninvasive assessment:** selective baseline completed; current position, human evidence, regulatory status, limitations and expected updates are in [the topic notes](../topics/13_liver.md).
- **Cancer vaccines and immune interception:** selective baseline completed; current position, human evidence, regulatory status, limitations and expected updates are in [the topic notes](../topics/14_cancer_vaccines.md).
- **Autoimmune disease modification and immune-reset therapies:** selective baseline completed; current position, human evidence, regulatory status, limitations and expected updates are in [the topic notes](../topics/15_autoimmune.md).
- **Non-opioid acute and chronic pain therapies:** selective baseline completed; current position, human evidence, regulatory status, limitations and expected updates are in [the topic notes](../topics/16_pain.md).
- **Kidney preservation and earlier CKD detection:** selective baseline completed; current position, human evidence, regulatory status, limitations and expected updates are in [the topic notes](../topics/17_kidney.md).

- **Hair loss and hair restoration:** selective baseline completed; current position, human evidence, regulatory status, limitations and expected updates are in [the topic notes](../topics/19_hair_loss.md).
- **Galleri/cancer screening:** added colorectal blood/stool tests and precancer detection. Prior Galleri material preserved.
- **Cardiovascular:** added CAC/CCTA/AI plaque screening and clinical-utility studies. Prior drug material preserved.
- **Other eight existing topics:** scope and prior research retained; no new full research pass was performed during this expansion, and their successful-check timestamps were not advanced.

## Evidence, informal sources and limitations

Primary publications, trial registries, regulator notices and dated sponsor reports support the new baselines; direct links and program-specific access gaps are in each page. The expanded baseline is selective rather than an exhaustive systematic review. Missing readout dates are explicitly marked unknown. Several findings remain sponsor toplines.

Hair-loss coverage includes an attributed Reddit inference about U.S. clascoterone availability. Its filing premise is consistent with sponsor guidance, while approval/launch timing remains unconfirmed. Informal-source coverage elsewhere was incidental and does not establish that no rumors exist. Future checks must continue the shared rumor workflow across all topics.

Cover page, watchlist and initial brief were updated and read back; local links, nineteen-topic counts, baseline state and unique event keys were checked. State completion was recorded only after artifact checks. Existing full-topic timestamps were preserved for the two partial screening expansions as well. Automation update/readback verification is recorded below when complete.

## Automation verification

The existing therapy-and-screening-watch heartbeat was updated through the scheduled-task tool and read back from its saved configuration. The nineteen-category prompt matches the prepared update exactly; status remains active; the Tuesday/Friday 9 a.m. Eastern schedule, task destination and original creation record are preserved. Meaningful-change notifications, quiet unchanged runs and attributed rumors remain in the prompt.
