# September 12, 2026 — SSRI and newer-antidepressant category

Added a tenth active category because the previous scope only touched SSRIs through psychedelic trials. Updated the current cover page, watchlist, same-day initial brief and a cross-link from the psychedelic notes. The SSRI category includes efficacy, tolerability, withdrawal, treatment selection, new indications and accurately labeled non-psychedelic alternatives/adjuncts.

The focused baseline includes direct SSRI research (ADOPT PGx and DISCARD), newer monoamine/receptor approaches, approved alternatives and negative development outcomes. [Detailed notes and primary sources](../topics/10_ssri_antidepressants.md).

Future checks should discover newly registered human programs, inspect full conference publications, reconcile old registry dates with newer trial announcements, and distinguish sponsor projections from results or approval. Historical findings added today are baseline context and should not be repeatedly announced as new news.

Only the new category received a research baseline in this run; the other nine were not rescanned. Their research timestamps and event history remain unchanged. Extended the existing twice-weekly task in place with the same Tuesday/Friday 9 a.m. Eastern schedule and meaningful-change-only notifications.
