# Lipid therapy visualizations — September 13, 2026

[Home](../README.md) · [Cardiovascular prevention](../topics/07_cardiovascular.md)

Two independent visual explainers have been prepared for Medicine Ahead:

- [Cardiovascular events and mortality](https://medicineahead.com/#/visuals/lipid-outcomes): 10 trials and 28 estimates, with separate cardiovascular-event, cardiovascular-death and all-cause-mortality views. Hazard ratios and risk/rate ratios are not pooled. A second view shows each trial-wide estimate against its follow-up duration.
- [Lipid lowering](https://medicineahead.com/#/visuals/lipid-lowering): 23 study records with 70 observations across LDL-C, ApoB, non-HDL-C, triglycerides, Lp(a) and HDL-C. Two source curves and three sparse follow-up series support the time view.

This is a curated evidence collection, not an exhaustive review or indirect treatment ranking. Sources, population, regimen, baseline, safety and analysis limitations are available per study. Phase 1 gene-editing findings and rare-disease cohorts remain labeled. Null results and unavailable estimates remain distinct.

The source of truth for numerical visualizations is `content/lipid-trials.json` in `website-source`. Preserve original study dates rather than interpreting this implementation date as a new clinical readout. Existing notebook cardiovascular research remains in its stable topic.

The collection preserves baseline versus placebo-adjusted changes; HR versus RR; mean versus median; crude versus Kaplan–Meier event risks; endpoint dates versus averaged windows; Lp(a) assay differences; and exact numbers versus approximate figure readings. The maintenance instructions and dedicated validator cover these distinctions.

Release tracking: included in the combined Medicine Ahead edition with the rebrand, lipid visualizations and development-history correction. The Site’s version and deployment history records publication status.
